Our family has put down roots near Lake Mackintosh, where faith, family, and the simple rhythms of home shape the way we live. Rock Creek Doodles grew from our love for dogs and a desire to raise companions with purpose, surrounded by family from their very first days. And while this is where we call home, the Carolina coast has always been our happy place—the place we feel most at peace, where some of our favorite family memories are made, and where we hope one day to put down roots of our own. That love for the coast has naturally become part of Rock Creek Doodles, from the names we choose to the relaxed, joyful spirit behind our brand. What happens here is deeply personal to us—our children are part of it, prayer is part of it, and every puppy begins its story right alongside our family here in North Carolina.
THE HEART BEHIND THE PAWS
This Is Home
Our home is where Rock Creek Doodles happens. We live on several wooded acres near Lake Mackintosh in Whitsett, North Carolina, with our dogs, chickens, ducks, children, and the everyday activity of family life.
This is not a commercial kennel setting. Our parent dogs live alongside us, and our puppies begin life surrounded by the normal sights, sounds, movement, and affection of a real home. They hear children playing, doors opening, meals being made, family conversations, dogs moving through the house, and all the little things that make home feel like home.
We want their earliest experiences to feel natural, secure, and connected to people—because one day, that is exactly the kind of life we hope they will step into with their new families.
Faith at the Center
Everything we do at Rock Creek Doodles is grounded in our faith. We believe we are called to be good stewards of the lives entrusted to us and to care for our dogs, puppies, and families with honesty, compassion, and integrity.
Prayer is genuinely part of this journey. We pray over our parent dogs, our litters, our puppies, and the families they will eventually join. Our desire is to honor God not only in the puppies we raise, but in the way we care for them, the way we conduct our program, and the relationships we build along the way.
A Family Endeavor
Rock Creek Doodles is something our whole family shares. With five children in our home, there is rarely a shortage of someone ready to hold a puppy, sit on the floor with a litter, help with a chore, or stop everything because one of the dogs has done something that makes everyone laugh.
Our children get to see the responsibility that comes with caring for animals, but they also experience the joy of watching a puppy grow from its first days into a companion ready for another family.
Some of the most meaningful moments here are the ordinary ones—the cuddles, the playtime, sleepy puppies in someone's arms, and children learning that loving an animal also means caring for it well.
Rock Creek Doodles is not simply something our family owns. It is something our family experiences together.
